About This Plugin
Inventory Manager Lite is the lightweight, read-only sibling to Equipment Inventory Manager. It exposes the existing inventory custom post type as a WordPress List Table with search, filters, and pagination — no editing, no schema changes, no risk of accidentally modifying production data.
Use it when staff need to look up equipment but should not be able to change anything. Pair it with the full Equipment Inventory Manager plugin when full management is needed — the two share the same CPT and meta fields.
Features
- Spreadsheet-style view of all
inventoryrecords - Search across stock number, model, and serial number
- Filter by location (Caledonia / Niagara) and year
- Smart parsing of array-based year fields and shortcode-based location fields (handles legacy Flavor theme storage)
- Configurable rows-per-page
- Sortable columns
- Read-only by design — the plugin does not register the CPT, does not modify any data, and has no edit screens
What This Plugin Does NOT Do
- Does not create the
inventoryCPT — that has to come from the parent theme or from Equipment Inventory Manager. - Does not edit, add, or delete inventory records.
- Does not run physical-count workflows. Use Equipment Inventory Manager for that.
